Obama said: "If you like your health care plan, you will be able to keep your health care plan. Period."

According to the CBO, 10 Million people will be affected by employers canceling their health plan- whether the individuals like it or not. Or are you saying that all of those 10 Million people who end up on the Public Option didn't "Like" their health plan?

jharp,

Thank you for your comments on my blog. You have provided a significant intellectual challenge to the other commenters, and I appreciate and respect the perspective you have brought to the debate.

I am therefore sorry that, because of your repeated violations of my comment policy in spite of my previous warnings, I ask you not to comment further. I tried to contact you privately to communicate this, but was unable to do so using the email address you provided.

Your contributions have been valuable, but the tone of your comments, and the lack of respect expressed for those with points of view different from your own, make this an easy call.

I thank you for the contribution you have made.

Respectfully,

Keith Hennessey

“I would support a public option modeled on this…”

I’ve got no problem with the plan you support.

As long as it is a public insurance plan. It is time the private insurers get some competition. The profit incentive from denying claims and denying coverage needs to be stopped.

"Also, I have an inherent distrust of government from studying capture theory."

And I have a well founded distrust of business having been in it for 25 years. I'm not a big fan of government, they are not to be trusted. Business is to be trusted less.

And with the government we get a chance to vote the bums out. No such luck with business. As a matter of fact, the more business can gouge and over charge and deny claims and deny coverage, the better the shareholders like them.<div class="comment-remix-meta"><a href="#" class="replyto" onclick="replyto('1602','jharp'); return false;">Reply</a> - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('1602','jharp','\"Also, I have an inherent distrust of government from studying capture theory.\"\r\n\r\nAnd I have a well founded distrust of business having been in it for 25 years.
